The ratings were still high. It wasn’t cancelled. The writers (and Kiefer) simply had grown tired and had run out of ways to torment Jack Bauer. They’re leaving whatever is left in them for the film/s. Keeping my fingers crossed that it will be as good as the show and not disappoint like Sex & the City.
