Thanks for the comment. The post actually was an email to a Honduran-American girl that had never visited Tegucigalpa. The comments about the tatoos were "tongue-in-cheek". Tegucigalpa is a charming place to visit. But as they say all it takes is a few rotten apples to spoil the the barrel. Honduas has one of the world's highest per capita murder rates. So anyone planning to visit should take that into consideration. However, the dollar goes a lot further in Honduras than other destinations like Costa Rica or Dominican Republic. For anyone planning to purchase real estate, Honduras is a great choice. You could buy a mansion in Honduras for the price of a condo in New York and have enough money left over to live the rest of your life.

OK, first of all you make Tegucigalpa sound like a Jungle. It is not...If you are smart enough you will not get into trouble...second, that taxi stuff!? you think the cab driver can't tell you are a Gringo just by looking at you?! so figure out a different way to pay the right fee besides "not speaking english"...third, you're right...you should not drink water from the faucet, iy won't kill you but it's not the cleanest water neither and there are a lot of really good restaurant all around the town where you can eat from the floor if you want so it is just a matter to go to the right place like in every country on the planet. And about that "cover your arm tattoo" unless your a skin head with the "MS13" tattoed on your arm do not worry about it...remember Hondurans can tell your a "gringo". So that's my comment on your comments...keep up the good work. By the way! I'm Honduran!!
